Based in Amherst, PSNI has served NH schools for over 25 years with SNAP Health Center, the leading Electronic Health Record system for managing the school health clinic. Utilizing nurse-focused workflow, schools can improve student health outcomes, increase communication with parents and staff, and provide comprehensive data analytics. For over 30 years, SNAP has remained the most trusted and widely-used school-based EHR serving 13,000 schools and 5 million students in 45 states and 25 countries.

PSNI was founded by a school nurse and is staffed with full-time RN’s. We know what school nurses need, how they think, and how they work. As a result, we’ve designed our award-winning SNAP Health Center software to be extremely easy to use, with an intuitive, one-click design that follows the workflow a school nurse experiences every day. We create life-changing wishes for children between the ages of 2 1/2 years old to 18 years old with critical illnesses. Wishes are more than just a nice thing. And they are far more than gifts, or singular events in time. Wishes impact everyone involved—wish kids, volunteers, donors, sponsors, medical professionals and communities. For wish kids, just the act of making their wish come true can give them the courage to comply with their medical treatments. Parents might finally feel like they can be optimistic. And still others might realize all they have to offer the world through volunteer work or philanthropy. Many of our referrals come from School Nurses, we'd love to talk to you!

Healthy Homes and Lead Poisoning Prevention Program

The Healthy Homes and Lead Poisoning Prevention Program is a resource to help address the risk of lead poisoning in young children, pregnant women, and adults who work or have hobbies that involve lead.
There can be more than one way a child can come across lead in their home. In NH, children are almost always poisoned by lead that is found in dust from lead paint in older homes. In NH, more than half of our homes were built before 1978. This is over 284,000 standalone homes or apartment units across our state. In 2023, more than 1,100 young NH kids were poisoned by lead. All under the age of six, these kids had 3.5 micrograms per deciliter (μg/dL) or higher of lead in their bloodstream. This level of lead is high enough to harm their ability to think, learn, and focus. For these children, we recommend that families find out where the child came in contact with lead and remove the lead source from the home.
