We are looking for professional, self-motivated nurses who have a love of the outdoors and a desire to be part of our nursing staff at Waukeela Camp for Girls, an all girls camp located in beautiful Eaton Center, NH.
Our team of 3 nurses live in an old farmhouse on the edge of camp across from Crystal Lake, but are regularly in camp to provide routine first aid and administer medications. There is approximately a 1:100 nurse to camper/staff ratio given @140 campers/session plus 60 staff. Campers are ages 7-17, staff ages 18-21+.
We have a partnership with Saco River Clinic located @ 4 miles away in Conway who provides consultation and health services to our campers and staff; Memorial Hospital is located @ 6 miles away in North Conway.
Generous compensation is provided in addition to room and board. Tuition free camp attendance is offered to daughters. Maine Arts Camp (maineartscamp.com) is entering its 15th summer and its 3rd located on the campus of Colby College. We have an opening for:
2nd session nurse (July 12-27). We have two full time nurses each session and the 2nd session nurse will work with Maryellen McCone (10th summer at camp). The nurses split shifts during the day, with one working the morning/afternoon (7:30 am - 3:00 pm) and the other afternoon/evening (3:00 pm - 10:30 pm). Camp Walden is searching for an RN, LPN or Graduate Nurse to join our health and wellness staff and our camp community. Responsibilities will include dispensing medications, assessing and caring for sick and injured campers and staff, keeping records, and communicating with parents and physicians.
