The registered nurse provides quality nursing care to St. Paul's School students in both an outpatient and inpatient setting. This includes but is not limited to: conducting physical assessments, triage of students for scheduled appointments and walk-in appointments, communicating with parents, documenting in an electronic medical record, working collaboratively with the medical director, nurse practitioner and counselors, assisting the physician or nurse practitioner during consultations when appropriate, implementing nursing protocols and other medical/nursing orders for the treatment and care of students, preoperative and postoperative care, collecting specimens for diagnostic exams, provide health education, vaccine administration, and medication administration. The Abbot-Downing School in SAU 8 is seeking a school nurse for PreK-5.
