The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Connecticut Health Center is recruiting NH nurses to be part of their study.

Child Anxiety Learning Modules (CALM) study, a project sponsored by the US Department of Education that provides free training for nurses in brief interventions to reduce anxiety in elementary school students. Their funding also allows them to compensate nurses for completing the training and delivering the intervention!

The CALM program has been developed and refined in close consultation with the Executive Director and Nursing Education Director of the National Association for School Nurses (NASN), both of whom sit on the advisory board for the study.

The CALM program has been approved and implemented in over a dozen schools throughout New England and Maryland, with preliminary results  indicating that school nurses make a big difference for students who struggle with anxiety!

They are recruiting nurses to be trained in the intervention for the 2021-22 school year.

This session will be recorded and you will have the opportunity to ask questions.
