Dr. Erin D. Maughan serves as the Director of Research for the National Association of School Nurses (NASN), where she co-leads the development of school nurse outcome indicators and uniform data points. She launched NASN’s acuity workload taskforce, and co-led the creation of NASN’s Framework for 21st Century School Nursing Practice. She also teaches public health nursing as an adjunct associate professor at Georgetown University.

Erin Writes:   "A glass ceiling or cage is the notion that certain groups -- mostly women or minorities -- are held back, often due to their own beliefs.  Yet there are limiting beliefs and actions that also put school nursing in a glass cage. "
Come explore with Erin the actions needed to break the glass cage that is holding School Nursing back as a profession.
