School Nursing Essentials and Beyond is a three day workshop presented by the New Hampshire School Nurses' Association in collaboration with the New Hampshire State Department of Education

Role of the School Nurse in Emergency Prepardedness -- Homeless Students -- DCYF Reporting -- Environmental Health and Staff Wellness -- Writing Health Care Plans


Conference Objectives:

Day Three: Saturday, March 12th 2015.
1. Participants will be able to identify the school nurse role in Emergency Preparedness Planning as well as differentiating between appropriate school-setting first aide measures vs. activating the EMS system.

2. Participants will understand the laws pertaining to homeless students and the services available to them.

3. Participants will learn about factors impacting the environmental health of the school buildings, and learn the importance of wellness programming for staff.

4. Participants will learn the skills needed to advocate the school nursing role at the school level, board of education lever and the community at large.
