I am doing my msn in education track- because I love to teach. While I work at an elm school, it's helpful to understand more of the education standards ( in addition to some teaching). If I leave, I'll be able to pursue a nursing teaching position- college, or high school level, floor nurse educator, etc.

I'm not sure CNL would fit into the school setting. unless you worked at a large district. However, check your school benefits- mine is paying for a big chunk of school.

I have looked into the MSN program at SNHU and it seems great with classes 100% online, clinical hours vary depending on the track you pursue.  I am wondering what I can do with an MSN.  What doors does it open, outside of the school?  Would it hurt or help to take the generalist track?  What would clinical leader do for me?

Thanks, trying to get more informed.  I want to pursue my Master's,  just dont want to be pigeonholed should I decide to leave school nursing.

I have been pursuing my MSN through SNHU over the past 18 months.  A lot of work but very rewarding and I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge and skills.  In addition, they offer a discount for members of the New Hampshire School Nurses Association.

Wondering if anyone had recommendations for an online MSN program?
