School Nurse ListServ

Two new  valuable resources for New Hampshire School Nurses:

1.      A forum (in the menu above)  to discuss practice issues, share information and ask questions regarding school health issues.  All NHSNA members are free to post their own topic or reply to any discussion.   Non-members will be able to view the forum but not post.

2.      NHSNA has formed a new LISTSERV (email group) that NH school health personnel working in a school are encouraged to join.  This service is provided free of charge by NHSNA for all school nurses, regardless of their membership status.  NHSNA board members will be moderating the ListServ.  If you have a question, or are seeking information, or have an announcement to share with the ListServ, you may email NHSchoolNurses@gmail.com

School Nurse Certification

A CHRONOLOGICAL TIMELINE ON SCHOOL NURSE CERTIFICATION WILL BE POSTED HERE SOON

HB 1217 has a legislative hearing scheduled for January 17th, 2018. . NHSNA does not support HB 1217.

The New Hampshire School Nurses’ Association fully supports School Nurse Certification with a requirement for obtaining a BSN or higher, along with 3 years current experience in pediatric nursing or other related nursing areas under

Members of the Board of the New Hampshire School Nurse Association are working hard on your behalf. We all have a voice, and one voice can make important change. Please support School Nurse Certification in New Hampshire by writing a letter to the NH Legislature. Please ask them to support the current certification rules for school nurses, and vote “No” for amendments proposed in HB 1217.
