The New Hampshire School Nurses’ Association has been working hard on your behalf, preparing for another year of advocating for you, our school nurses, who are dedicating to caring for the students of New Hampshire.   The Council for Youth with Chronic Conditions wants to recognize and honor a few young people who have a chronic health condition and inspire you with their dogged resiliency, cheerful optimism and determination to live typical lives.

Current Initiatives

SB322 is 
legislation that enables schools to address emergent situations for students with asthma, with the goal of reducing the number of students with asthma who must be dismissed from school.  
In the fall of 2017,  the NH Asthma Control Program, in collaboration with the NH School Nurses Association, supported pilot implementation of the emergency inhaler legislation in 28 schools in 10 school districts.  The results of the first year were so promising that NHSNA has decided to fund the Pilot Project to expand into more schools.  READ full report 

Scholarship Money Available

General information:
A limited number of scholarships are available yearly for NH School Nurses.  The scholarship is not to exceed half the cost of the course or $500.00.  Reimbursement will be made after applicant sends verification of successful course completion.

         Former state Supreme Court Chief Justice John Broderick will share with us his personal mission of on changing the stigma of mental illness,
